I hope creecy doesn't think that a few bs newsletters are going to bail him out of this one. He has zero respect from the field and it looks like other than Thomas, he has no backing from admin either. The CAO, mayor, council, etc. Are not falling for his mindless drivel. They can see he has a mutiny on his hands and I don't think they are going to stand for it for much longer. Hats off to Keith Andes for being a stand up guy and a true LEADER.
I wrote a response to the memo, but I'm trying to figure out what to do with it first, mainly in terms of figuring out what our First Amendment rights are here. Keep that in mind when you're posting, particularly on the more popular public forums (using spellcheck is probably a good plan, too). I agree that the chief was unnecessarily snarky in the memo, and I didn't appreciate it.
Your speech is protected by the first amendment. Nothing can stop you from expressing your opinion about your employer. If you are making accusations, they must be backed up by fact. If your employer attempts to intimidate you, harass you, or otherwise penalize you for speaking out, contact the city department of human resources and file a complaint immediately. If you still feel uncomfortable posting here, you can post anonymously.

Nice article but as usual Robert has to have the last word with this "newsletter". Did anyone else think his snide comments and attitude were rude??
